The short version
- Our tools run on your device. Tests for your screen, camera, microphone, keyboard, mouse and sensors are processed locally in your browser. Camera, microphone and motion data are never recorded or uploaded to us.

Information processed in your browser
Many tools need temporary access to a device feature to work — for example camera access for the Webcam Test, microphone access for the Mic Test and Decibel Meter, or motion-sensor access for the Bubble Level and Compass. This access is handled by your browser, used only while the tool is open, and the resulting video, audio or sensor readings stay on your device. We do not see, store or transmit them. Small preferences such as your theme (light or dark) and language may be saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics may automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your approximate location (from your IP address), browser type, operating system, device type, referring page and the pages you view. This information is used in aggregate to understand traffic and keep the site reliable and secure. It is not used to personally identify you.
